What dating on Oʻahu is like
Oʻahu is the most populated island, so it has the biggest mix: locals, students, service members, and people who just moved. Traffic shapes dating here. Someone in Kapolei and someone in Kailua can feel far apart at rush hour, so pick a first-date spot that's fair to both of you.
Meeting people on Oʻahu
Oʻahu has the most going on, so the trick is picking one regular thing and sticking with it. Town has run clubs, climbing gyms and community classes. Kailua and Kāneʻohe have paddling and beach-park culture. Speed dating and mixers happen mostly in Honolulu (see Honolulu singles events).
