About Kamaʻāina Date
Kamaʻāina Date is a Hawaiʻi-only dating site run by RyPul Media and launched in 2026. Big national apps like Tinder, Hinge and Bumble serve the whole country. We wanted something built around island life: which island you're on, inter-island travel, and local culture.
We built a platform for everyone on the islands, including locals, military stationed in Hawaiʻi, newcomers and visitors, with respect for Hawaiian culture, rather than one more generic app with a tropical color scheme.
What makes this different
We're new. The site launched with no sample or placeholder profiles, so every profile you see belongs to a real person who signed up. You can choose to see people on your island or across the state, and say why you're here (local, stationed here, new to Hawaiʻi or visiting).
How we think about safety
Dating platforms carry real responsibility for the safety of the people who use them. Block, report and unmatch, optional photo verification with a verified badge, and full community standards are detailed in our Community Guidelines and the safety center, not buried in fine print, but published as a real, readable policy.
Where this is headed
We publish free island dating guides on our dating guides pages and blog, and we're building this in the open — every feature exists because it solves a real problem for someone trying to date in Hawaii specifically, not because a mainland competitor has it.
